Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier (Red Modern channel) + Marshall JCM800 layered, Gibson SG Special (bridge humbucker), Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor
| Knob | Setting (0–10) |
|---|---|
| Gain | 8 |
| Bass | 8 |
| Treble | 7 |
| Reverb | 0 |
| Master | 5 |
01Boss DS-1 Distortion
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; to tighten saturation and simulate the Dual Rectifier preamp gain
The MG15DFX features a Contour control instead of a dedicated Middle knob; set Contour to 8 (fully clockwise scoops mids) to mimic Daron's modern scooped Mesa voicing. On your semi-hollow guitar, keep gain around 8 to prevent acoustic feedback while maintaining heavy saturation. Bass is pushed to 8 to supply the low-end thump that the 8-inch speaker lacks compared to a 4x12 cab.
