Why these settings

The MG15DFX features a Contour control instead of a dedicated Middle knob; set Contour to 8 (fully clockwise scoops mids) to mimic Daron's modern scooped Mesa voicing. On your semi-hollow guitar, keep gain around 8 to prevent acoustic feedback while maintaining heavy saturation. Bass is pushed to 8 to supply the low-end thump that the 8-inch speaker lacks compared to a 4x12 cab.

PRO TIPTune to Drop C (C-G-C-F-A-D) with heavy gauge strings (e.g., 10-52) and use a stiff, pointed pick (1.0mm+) striking right against the bridge saddles to get the razor-sharp, percussive palm-mute chug.
