The Fender Twin Reverb is a high-headroom clean platform with a scooped-mid EQ, while the original tone is driven entirely by a cranked Marshall JMP/JCM800. We push the Twin's Mid control to 8 and keep Bright off to combat the amp's natural 6kHz treble shelf and mid scoop. Because the Twin cannot produce modern/hard rock crunch on its own without deafening volume, an overdrive or distortion pedal like an SD-1/DS-1 is strongly recommended to get the true saturated crunch of the record.
