RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. The Blues Junior has high clean headroom and won't break up like Monarch's cranked Concert without volume levels that will destroy your hearing. A medium-gain OD pedal is essential to replicate that pushed-amp grit at reasonable volumes.

Why these settings

The original was a cranked blackface-era Fender with a low-output single-coil Esquire — pure power-tube saturation. Your Blues Junior shares the Fender voicing but won't break up until ear-splitting volumes; your AZ2402's Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers are hotter than a '52 Esquire. I've maxed preamp gain and pushed master to get some tube hair, but you genuinely need an OD pedal to nail this tone. I pulled treble down 1 notch and raised mids 1 notch to compensate for your humbuckers' warmer output vs the original single-coil ice-pick.

PRO TIPMonarch's secret was the interaction between his Esquire's volume knob and the amp — try rolling your guitar volume to 7-8 for verses to clean up slightly, then slam it to 10 for the chorus riff to push the amp harder. That dynamic response is half the tone.
