Why these settings

The MG30CFX OD1 channel approximates the JCM800's mid-forward aggression. Pushed mids to 7 to capture Blackfire's cutting thrash tone—the original rig had cranked Marshalls with strong 2-3kHz presence. Bass kept at 4 to avoid mud through the MG's 10" speaker; the original had tight low-end from closed-back 4x12s. Gain at 7 gets the saturation without losing palm-mute definition.

PRO TIPDig in hard with the pick angled slightly and choke up close to the bridge for that tight 80s German thrash chunk—Blackfire's attack was aggressive and precise, not loose.
