01Triangle Fuzz (or Ballistic Fuzz block)
Helix fuzz block acting as the core gain source into a clean Marshall amp block
02Parametric EQ block
Place after fuzz to restore the aggressive 1.2kHz midrange slice lost in the traditional Muff mid-scoop
The Line 6 Helix amp model is set as a clean-headroom pedal platform with gain kept low at 2 to prevent digital mud when hit by the heavy fuzz block. Since standard Fender Player single-coil pickups lack the beefy mid output of Billy Corgan's Lace Sensor Red humbuckers, mid EQ on the amp block is pushed and an EQ block adds a 1.2kHz punch. Studio tracking was bone-dry for maximum rhythmic impact, so master reverb is kept off. Clean verse: drop guitar volume to 7 and bypass the fuzz block.
