BOOST — tightens the low-end flub and hits the front of the overdrive channel
The Cort CM30R's analog overdrive channel lacks the massive cascaded tube saturation of a Diezel or Rivera, so the amp's gain is dialed to 7 while the Boss OD-3 serves as a front-end clean boost with Drive low and Level high to tighten the low end. Treble is pushed slightly to compensate for passive GIO pickups vs EMG 81 actives, and mids are kept near noon rather than fully scooped to prevent the drop-tuned chugs from disappearing. The CM30R faceplate provides clean/overdrive channels, 3-band EQ, and reverb, with no physical presence control.
