Why these settings

Your Cort MBC-1 has passive humbuckers vs IV's active Fishman Fluence pickups, so gain stays at 6 but push the TS boost level to 7 to compensate for lower output. Mid raised to 6 (from the baseline 6.5) because passive humbuckers are warmer — this keeps the attack defined. Roll tone knob to 8 to tame any harshness the Fluences would naturally compress.

PRO TIPIV picks extremely hard with a thick pick (2mm+) right over the bridge pickup pole pieces — this attack angle is critical for the percussive djent chunk. Palm mute lightly and let the gate do the work; don't choke the note, just kiss the strings.
