01Mustang LT25 Noise Gate (built-in)
Essential for controlling high-gain hiss during palm-muted riffs and silent breaks
02Tube Screamer (TS808-style)
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Used as a clean boost to tighten low end and push mids into the amp. The Mustang's built-in 'Drive' pedal model approximates this if accessed via Fender Tone app
The Mustang LT25 lacks the JCM800's natural mid-forward bark, so mid is pushed to 7 (vs King's flat 4-6 on the Marshall) to compensate for Fender voicing's inherent scoop. Bass is dropped to 5 from the original's 6-7 because the Metal 2000 model gets flubby in the lows. Gain stays at 7—your Ibanez's ceramic humbuckers are hotter than vintage DiMarzios, so pushing higher causes mud.
