Why these settings

The Frontman 10G has only gain, bass, and treble controls with no middle, presence, or reverb knobs on its faceplate. Because the amp lacks the cascaded tube saturation of a Dual Rectifier, push the built-in Drive switch with gain at 7 while keeping bass around 5 to avoid farting out the 6-inch speaker on low-tuned riffs. Adding a dedicated high-gain distortion pedal will allow running into the clean channel for a far tighter, heavier nu-metal low end.

PRO TIPDrop tune your lowest string to match the Drop B recording pitch, and dig in hard with a thick pick (1.0mm+) right against the bridge saddles for a sharp, percussive chug.
