The Stranger C20 is a compact solid-state combo with a 3-band EQ and onboard overdrive switch, but it lacks the tube saturation and cabinet body of a cranked Marshall stack. Push the C20's Overdrive/Gain control to 8 and keep the Mid at 7 to capture the signature punchy mid-forward Fossils rhythm bite. If you add an external high-gain distortion pedal like a Boss DS-1 or Rat later, switch the C20 to clean and drop gain to 2.
