01Noise Gate (GE1000 internal block)
Essential for tight palm mutes — place before amp block to kill string noise between riffs
02Tube Screamer (GE1000 internal block)
Used as a clean boost to tighten low-end and push the Recto model — compensates for Strat's lower output
03Parametric EQ (GE1000 internal block)
Post-amp EQ — cut 100Hz rumble and scoop 800Hz to match the Rammstein mid-cut; boost highs to compensate for single coil brightness loss vs EMG 81
The Gilmour Strat's single coils output roughly half the signal of EMG 81 actives, so gain is pushed to 8 and a TS boost block is added to hit the virtual preamp harder. Mids are set lower (3 vs typical 5) because the Recto model already scoops; single coils are naturally thinner in the low-mids so this balances out. The recording was bone-dry — reverb stays at 0.
