Why these settings

Your Yamaha ERG 121 has passive humbuckers with lower output than Kruspe's active EMGs, so gain stays at 8 to compensate. The scooped mids (3) and boosted treble (7) replicate the cold, mechanical Rectifier character. Reverb is 0—Rammstein recordings are bone dry to preserve riff clarity. A TS-style boost plugin tightens the low-end, which your passive pickups need.

PRO TIPPalm mute HARD and directly over the bridge saddles—Kruspe's tone relies on extremely precise, percussive muting. The 'chunk' comes from your picking hand, not the gain. Practice the riff with a metronome at half speed until every muted note is identical in attack.
