On the MG-30, the clean MLD preamp model provides modern headroom while the dedicated EQ block scoops out boxy 500Hz frequencies and pushes upper-mid clank without dirty distortion. Gain is kept low at 3 so the slap transients stay crisp and uncompressed by preamp clipping.
