Why these settings

The Katana Crunch voice delivers the punchy, high-headroom British grit of Gilmour's Hiwatt DR103 without needing an external drive pedal. Because the Epiphone SG's humbuckers are warmer and thicker than a Stratocaster, the treble is bumped to 7 and the bass pulled to 5 to restore single-coil cut and clarity. The Katana 50 MkII lacks a presence control on its faceplate, so high-end air is handled entirely via the treble knob.

PRO TIPPick firmly near the bridge saddle on the riff for that crisp percussive attack, and use heavy vibrato along the length of the string on the solo's full-step bends.
