The Frontman 10G is a solid-state practice amp with no high-gain channel—it cannot replicate Rectifier saturation on its own, so the DS-1 becomes your entire distortion source with amp gain at 3 (clean platform). Horton's scooped Rectifier mids translate to mid at 4 here because the Frontman is already thin in the mids; going lower would lose all body.
