RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Essential for replicating Dimebag's aggressive 'V-shape' mid scoop and high-frequency bite.
The Mooer Hornet Black's 'PL. 100' model delivers the compressed high-gain saturation required for Pantera riffs. We aggressively cut the Mid knob to 2 and push Treble to 9 to mimic Dimebag's Furman/MXR scooped-mid EQ curve and razor-sharp Randall solid-state bite. The Gibson Explorer's bridge humbucker supplies thick output, so Gain at 8 provides maximum saturation without turning muddy on palm mutes.
