01Noise Gate Block
Essential to clamp the extreme front-end gain and eliminate noise
02Graphic EQ Block (Pre-Amp)
Emulates the MXR 6-Band EQ Dime used to aggressively scoop mids and boost high-end bite
Dimebag achieved his razor-sharp solid-state tone by using an MXR 6-band and Furman PQ-4 in front of a Randall Century 200. On the Ampero, select the Randall-based amp model, scoop the amp mids down to 3, and engage the onboard EQ block before the amp to push the upper frequencies around 1.6k-3.2kHz. Keep reverb completely dry to preserve the tight, percussive punch of the main riff.
