Why these settings

Your Les Paul has hotter, thicker humbuckers than Grohl's PAF-style pickups in the semi-hollow, so I dropped bass from the original 6 to 5 and nudged mids up from 6 to 7 to compensate for the LP's inherent low-mid thickness. The Ampero's Rectifier model is voiced close to the original — select it directly rather than using a pedal-into-clean approach. Tone knob rolled to 8 tames the LP's slightly brighter bridge pickup vs a 335's warmer voice.
