RECOMMENDED — not owned. Essential for Dimebag's signature pre-amp mid scoop and razor bite.
The Mackintec Maxx 15 is an entry solid-state practice amp with standard 3-band EQ and no presence or reverb controls. Dimebag's Randall rig relied on an extreme parametric mid-cut around 800Hz with heavily boosted highs, so scoop your mid knob down to 2 while pushing treble to 8 to mimic that surgical bite. Because the Squier Bullet Strat's single-coil bridge is thinner than Dime's hot Lawrence L-500XL humbucker, keep bass at 6 to prevent the riff from sounding hollow.
