Why these settings

The HB-20R provides the analog solid-state clipping Dimebag used, but lacks the extreme output of an L-500XL humbucker and parametric EQ shaping. We run the overdrive channel gain high with mids aggressively cut to 2 and treble pushed to 8 to mimic the scooped Randall bite on single coils. Adding a dedicated EQ pedal or high-output humbucker down the road will replicate the tight low-end punch of the studio record.

PRO TIPPick aggressively near the bridge with a heavy pick and dig in with the side of your thumb for pinch harmonics; Dimebag's tone relies heavily on percussive attack and strict palm muting.
