Why these settings

The Blues Junior IV is a low-to-medium gain tube amp, so Dimebag's searing solid-state Randall distortion is physically unreachable from the amp alone without an external high-gain pedal. For now, the Fat switch is engaged and gain is pushed to 9 with mids scooped down to 2 to get the tightest aggressive crunch the amp can deliver. To truly nail this tone, add a dedicated metal distortion pedal, set the amp clean with gain at 2, and let the pedal provide the razor-sharp clipping.
