This is the primary gain source — Rhoads ran his amp relatively clean and used the MXR Dist+ for grit. Set amp gain low.
02Zoom Multi-FX — Parametric/Graphic EQ Block
Critical for the Rhoads tone — that 500Hz spike is what gives the buzzsaw cut. Place after distortion.
03Zoom Multi-FX — Delay Block (short slapback)
Simulates room mic ambience from Ridge Farm Studios — very short delay (30-80ms), single repeat, low mix
Your Hondo Strat's single coil is brighter and lower output than Rhoads' Les Paul humbucker — I've dropped treble from original 7 to 6 and pushed mids to 8 (from 6) to compensate for the thinner voice.
