01Boss SD-1 Super OverDrive
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Critical to the tone; the SD-1 tightens the low-end and adds midrange push into the Marshall. A Tube Screamer (TS9) or any TS-style clone will get you 85% there.
The Mustang LT25's British 80s model approximates the JCM800 midrange character. Your Schecter's passive humbuckers have less output than Zakk's active EMGs, so gain is set at 7 instead of the 5-6 he likely used. Mids pushed to 7 compensates for the Fender-platform tendency to scoop; treble dropped to 6 because the modeling can get fizzy at high settings.
