You own the exact amp Randy used — a 1959 Plexi. Key detail: bass is set LOW (2) to keep the fast riffs tight and articulate. The Distortion+ provides most of the grit; the amp is pushed but not fully saturating. Randy used a mid-boost EQ pedal (500Hz centered) you don't own — compensate by keeping mids at 6 and not scooping. Your Fusion-III's humbuckers are hotter than Randy's '74 LP Custom, so I dropped gain by 1 and tone knob to 8 to avoid fizz.

PRO TIPRandy's secret was the MXR 10-band EQ with a massive 500Hz boost (+10) after the Distortion+ — if you add one, center your boost there and cut 4kHz slightly to kill fizz. Without it, pick closer to the bridge and dig in hard to get that midrange bark.
