Your RockJam 20W is a basic solid-state practice amp with no clean/dirt channel split — Cobain's Mesa was set CLEAN and the DS-1 provided all distortion. Without a DS-1, I've pushed your amp's gain to 7 to approximate the saturation, but solid-state gain lacks the DS-1's gritty compression. Treble raised to 7 compensates for your Squier's stock ceramic single-coils being darker than Cobain's JB humbucker. Reverb at 0 — the recording is bone dry.

PRO TIPCobain's attack was critical: he palm-muted the low E string HARD on the main riff's downstrokes, then lifted completely for the chord stabs. That percussive chug-to-open dynamic is 50% of the tone — practice the muting hand, not just the fretting.
