Why these settings

The Fender Mustang LT25 lacks a physical mid and presence knob on its faceplate, so mid and presence are omitted. Kurt used a lush Small Clone into a clean preamp, recreated here via the LT25's onboard 'Twin Clean' model and built-in chorus block with depth pushed high for the signature watery detune. Single-coil Strat pickups are slightly brighter than Kurt's Mustang, so rolling guitar tone to 8 keeps the warmth intact. Chorus: keep chorus on; solo/chorus section: step on the LT25's onboard DS-1 style overdrive block for distortion.
