RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; necessary to get full early MCR saturation without over-driving small practice speakers

Why these settings

The RockJam practice amp has only a 2-band EQ (no mid, presence, or reverb controls), so mid-shaping is compensated by rolling the tone knob slightly to 8 to tame single-coil sharpness on the Stratocaster. The tiny practice speaker fizzes out easily, so bass is kept moderate at 5 while gain is set to 7 on the drive channel to approximate Ray Toro's raw Marshall crunch without turning into pure mud. A dedicated high-gain distortion pedal is strongly recommended to cleanly achieve Bullets-era saturation on this amp.

PRO TIPPick aggressively near the bridge with a medium-heavy pick to replicate Ray Toro's percussive attack and harmonic bite on single-note lead runs.
