Why these settings

The Katana 50 MkII uses the Brown amp model with onboard Boost engaged to recreate the thick, synth-like Animato/Big Muff saturation directly from the amp. Mids are boosted to 8 to emulate the distinct upper-mid cut of the original layered rig, while presence is omitted as the Katana 50 panel has no presence control. With the recommended external Big Muff pedal, switch the amp to Clean and drop amp gain to 2.

PRO TIPPick hard and very close to the bridge using a heavy 1.0mm+ plectrum to accentuate the mechanical percussive snap before the fuzz compresses the note envelope.
