01Valeton Noise Gate Block (NR)
Essential for stopping buzz during the fast staccato downpicked chugs
02Valeton EQ Block (5-Band / Graphic EQ)
Placed post-amp block to recreate the classic Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ graphic EQ V-curve scoop
To compensate for the lower-output, brighter single coils on the Squier Stratocaster, bass is pushed to 8 and amp gain is set to 7 to deliver the necessary low-end chunk without high-end ice-pick. The signature Mark IIC+ V-curve is dialed via the post-amp Graphic EQ block with a deep cut at the midrange to emulate the studio record. For the clean interlude, switch to the neck pickup and bypass the amp's high-gain block in favor of a clean JC-120 style model with light chorus.
