RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Run in FX loop to replicate the V-curve parametric EQ Hetfield used. This is the single most important element for the MOP midrange scoop.

Your JCM900 is voiced more mid-forward than the scooped Mark IIC+, so mid is dropped to 3 (vs the Mesa's 3-4) to compensate for the Marshall's inherent midrange push. The JCM900's gain structure is tighter than the IIC+, so gain at 7 matches the saturation level. Without the GE-7 in your FX loop, you will not achieve the signature V-curve scoop—this pedal is critical, not optional.
