RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; running this into the clean channel fixes the lack of preamp saturation
The Rogue G-10 is a basic 1x5 practice amp featuring only Gain, Volume, Bass, and Treble controls with an Overdrive push button (mids and presence physically do not exist on this faceplate). To approximate Dave Mustaine's high-gain Bogner/Marshall rack with passive single coils, engage the amp's drive switch with gain at 7; keep bass at 5 to prevent the tiny 5-inch speaker from farting out while pushing treble to 7 for aggressive pick cut. A dedicated high-gain distortion pedal like a Rat into the clean channel is strongly recommended to get authentic thrash saturation and low-end tightness.
