Rossington tracked the iconic slide part using a warm Gibson humbucker on the verge of breakup into a loud Peavey Mace. On your single-coil Strat, switch to the neck pickup and roll the tone back to 7 to shave off single-coil glassiness and mimic the thicker PAF response. Keep the Cube Baby's gain around 4 on the clean amp model to provide sustain without harsh clipping. Fast solo section: switch to Amp Model 7 (High-Gain/Lead voice), select bridge pickup, tone wide open at 10.
