01Cube Baby Delay Block
Onboard digital delay set for audible 400ms repeats to recreate Satriani's signature spatial sustain.
02Cube Baby Modulation Block
Light onboard chorus/detune to mimic the Eventide micro-pitch shift widening on the record.
To compensate for the Giannini Stratocaster's brighter, lower-output single-coil pickups compared to Satriani's DiMarzio Fred bridge humbucker, amp treble is dialed back while mid is pushed to 7 and the guitar tone knob is rolled off to 8. The Cube Baby is set to its high-gain amp voice (model 7) with gain at 7 to provide the singing Soldano/Rectifier sustain without needing an external DS-1. Built-in delay and subtle modulation are engaged directly on the pedalboard to recreate the stereo ambient polish of The Extremist sessions.
