Why these settings

The Kadence ME-20W is a compact solid-state practice amp, so its high-gain drive channel is set to 8 to deliver the saturation of the original Rectifier/5150 blend without turning the small speaker muddy. Treble is raised to 7 and mids scooped slightly to 4 to mimic the aggressive modern bite on the Vault RG1's passive bridge humbucker. Reverb is cut completely to preserve the bone-dry, razor-sharp punch of the track.

PRO TIPMute firmly with your picking palm directly against the bridge saddles to keep the heavy drop-D power chords tight and prevent low-end flub during the rapid staccato stops.
