Faint amp settings — Fender Mustang LT25
The LINKIN PARK guitar tone for “Faint”, dialed in for a Fender Mustang LT25 with a Fender Player II. Studio version, Meteora (2003), produced by Don Gilmore
PRS Custom 24 (HFS bridge pickup) → Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, drop C# tuning, scooped modern high-gain tone
| Knob | Setting (0–10) |
|---|---|
| Gain | 7 |
| Bass | 6 |
| Mid | 3 |
| Treble | 7 |
| Reverb | 0 |
| Master | 5 |
The Mustang LT25 has no presence knob. Select the 'Metal 2000' amp model (Rectifier-style voicing). The original Rectifier is naturally mid-scooped with massive low-end; the LT25's digital model captures this, so mid stays low at 3. Your Fender Player II single coils are brighter and lower output than Delson's HFS humbuckers — bass bumped +1 and gain held at 7 rather than 8 to avoid fizz.
