Why these settings

Ramon Benitez played single-coil Strats in position 4 or 2 for that iconic glassy 'cumbia santafesina' snap. To compensate for the Gibson SG Modern's warmer humbuckers, split the coils if available (or use the middle position), cut amp bass to 4, push treble to 8, and use a bright compressor setting to mimic single-coil quack.

PRO TIPPick aggressively near the bridge with a medium-heavy pick using fast alternate picking and staccato muting to achieve 'El Mago's trademark percussive attack.
