Why these settings

The Frontman 15G has a Drive channel with Gain, Bass, Mid, and Treble controls (no Presence or Reverb on the faceplate). To mimic Munky's scooped Mesa/Diezel wall of sound, the amp's Drive channel is pushed to 7 with mids pulled back to 3, keeping bass capped at 6 to prevent the 8-inch speaker from farting out on low tunings. Single coils lack the output and thickness of 7-string humbuckers, so stay strictly on the bridge pickup with tone wide open. To get true crushing nu-metal saturation, add a high-gain distortion pedal like an MT-2 into the clean channel.
