The Mustang LT25's '70s British model approximates the JCM800 voicing. Your JH-600's EMG 81 is hotter and more compressed than the original passive humbuckers, so gain drops from the original's cranked 8+ to 7 to avoid fizz. Mid pushed to 8 to capture that cutting Priest midrange; treble pulled back to 6 because EMGs are brighter and the Mustang's digital treble can get harsh. Bass at 4 prevents low-end mud from the EMG's extended response. Reverb at 0 — British Steel was recorded bone dry.

PRO TIPPalm mute with your hand positioned closer to the bridge saddles than usual — Tipton and Downing used a very tight, clipped palm mute that lets the attack pop through while keeping the low end controlled.
