I pushed mids to 7 (vs original's ~6) to compensate for the amp's flatter mid response, and rolled treble down to 5 to avoid the harsh high-end common in budget solid-state amps. Without a Tube Screamer or Klon, you will get a clean-to-mild-breakup tone rather than the warm singing overdrive — the pedal recommendation is critical to approach this sound.
