Why these settings

The Cube 30x R-Fier channel provides the closest match to Mayer's pushed Two-Rock — it's voiced for American high-gain but we're keeping gain low (3) because the Big Muff is the saturation source. Mid pushed to 6 compensates for the Muff's natural mid-scoop. The TO800 stacked into the Muff adds the mid-hump and compression Mayer gets from his Dumble-style amp breakup. Your guitar's humbuckers are hotter than Mayer's Strat singles — back off the Muff sustain if it gets muddy.
