The Katana 50 MkII's Clean voice provides the transparent, high-headroom platform of Jeff's '63 Vibroverb. We bump Katana mids to 6 to give your Squier Strat single-coils the body of a Telecaster bridge/middle voice, and keep the amp reverb at 0 since the RV-6 handles the entire lush Quadraverb wash. For the heavy dynamic climaxes, dig in hard with your right hand or switch the Strat to the bridge pickup at volume 10.

PRO TIPBuckley used a thin nylon pick and struck close to the bridge saddles during chord arpeggios to get maximum harmonic shimmer, letting the long-decay reverb float underneath the percussive attack.
