RECOMMENDED — not currently owned
The Rumble 40 has a naturally scooped, hi-fi voicing compared to Zild's warm, vintage 70s studio tone. Pushing the Low-Mid/High-Mid frequencies to 7 and cutting Treble to 4 brings out the necessary fingerstyle funk punch while taming modern top-end sizzle. Set Low-Mid to 7 and High-Mid to 6 on the Rumble 40 faceplate, and keep the Contour, Bright, and Vintage voicing buttons disengaged.
