The MG30CFX's OD2 channel is more compressed and scooped than the original plexi, so mids are pushed to 7 (vs 5-6 on a JCM800-style voicing) to restore that vocal bark. Bass is set to 7 instead of the original's 5.5 to compensate for the Music Man's ceramic humbucker—hotter output than the Derrig's PAF-style pickups means the MG will break up faster, so gain stays at 6 instead of 8. Treble dropped to 6 because the MG's high end is spikier than a plexi's warm top end.
