The Blues Junior naturally scoops mids and has a glassier top end than Slash's cranked Marshall, so the Fat boost switch is engaged with the amp's mid knob pushed to 8 and treble pulled down to 4. To mimic Slash's warm Alnico II neck humbucker on your Stratocaster, stay on the neck pickup and roll the tone knob back to 6 to eliminate single-coil spank. The amp's gain must be cranked to 9 to reach singing lead sustain without pedals.
