| Knob | Setting (0–10) |
|---|---|

| Bass | 4 |
| Mid | 7 |
| Treble | 7 |
| Reverb | 0 |
| Master | 5 |
01Tube Screamer-style overdrive (TS9 or clone)
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Used as a clean boost to tighten low-end and add pick attack, replicating the KHDK in Duplantier's chain
02Noise Gate (Boss NS-2 or similar)
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Essential for the tight, staccato stops in Silvera's riffs
The Cube 30's R-FIER channel is its closest voice to a 5150-style high-gain amp — use it. The Cube lacks the 5150's tight low-end response, so bass is dropped from the original's 5 to 4, and mids pushed from 5.5 to 7 to compensate for the Cube's tendency to get muddy under high gain. Your RG420EX's Quantum humbuckers are hotter than passive DiMarzios, so gain stays at 8 rather than pushing higher. Without a boost pedal in front, the attack will be slightly less defined than the original.
