01Noise Gate (Spider V built-in)
Essential for tight palm-muted chugs — cuts string noise between riffs
02Tube Screamer (Spider V built-in 'Screamer')
RECOMMENDED — use as a clean boost to tighten low-end and add midrange cut; Spider V has this built in under Effects > Distortion
The original Rectifier tone is deeply scooped with tight low-end. Your Spider V's Insane channel approximates this but lacks the Rectifier's tube compression, so I've set gain at 7 instead of maxed to avoid fizz. Your GRG170DX's Infinity humbuckers are lower output than EMGs, so the built-in Screamer boost compensates by pushing the front end and tightening bass response. Mid at 4 gives you Gojira's signature scoop without losing note definition.
