Why these settings

The Katana 50 MkII Brown model provides the thick, modded British high-gain core heard on Ross Robinson's early-2000s productions. To compensate for single-coil pickups on a Strat vs. the original humbuckers and hot pickups, the mids and bass are bumped slightly while engaging the Katana's internal boost to tighten the bottom-end attack. Presence is set to null because the 50W Katana chassis does not feature a physical presence knob. Clean verse: roll guitar volume back to 6 or switch amp type to Clean.

PRO TIPPick aggressively near the bridge with a heavy pick using strict downstrokes on the dissonant octave and minor-second chords to replicate Beck's abrasive pick attack.
