01ProCo Rat 2 or similar distortion
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. A Rat-style distortion will get you closer to the compressed, gritty saturation of the Dual Rectifier. Without this pedal, push amp gain to 8 and accept a thinner saturation character.
Your Sanchez Strat's single coils are brighter and lower output than Grohl's PAF humbuckers, so I raised mid +1 (to 7) to compensate for the Strat's natural scoop and dropped treble -1 (to 6) to tame the extra high-end bite. I also pulled presence down to 5 to avoid ice-pick harshness that single coils can produce at high gain. The Sanchez GM-815 is a practice amp with limited gain on tap—you'll get closer with a Rat-style pedal into a cleaner amp setting, but without one, max the gain and accept a thinner crunch.
