Why these settings

The Fender Roc Pro 1000 hybrid tube-drive channel delivers solid high gain, but because single coils are naturally brighter and thinner than Grohl's humbucker-equipped Trini Lopez, the treble is tamed to 5, the tone knob is rolled back to 8, and bass is boosted to 6 for drop-D low-end weight. Mids are slightly pulled to 4 to mirror the aggressive Mesa/Boogie Rectifier curve without getting too hollow. Clean verse/intro: roll the guitar volume down to 5-6 to clean up the tube preamp stage naturally.
