Santamonica amp settings — Fender Mustang LT25
The Everclear guitar tone for “Santamonica”, dialed in for a Fender Mustang LT25 with a Fender Player Plus Stratocaster. Studio version, Sparkle and Fade (1995)
Marshall JCM800 2203, Gibson Les Paul with humbuckers, no notable pedals on main rhythm tone — amp-driven crunch
| Knob | Setting (0–10) |
|---|---|
| Gain | 6 |
| Bass | 4 |
| Mid | 7 |
| Treble | 6 |
| Presence | 5 |
| Reverb | 1 |
| Master | 5 |
Original used a JCM800 with humbuckers — your Strat's single coils are brighter and lower output, so I pushed mids to 7 (vs typical Marshall 5-6) and rolled treble back slightly to compensate for Strat ice-pick. Gain at 6 gives the crunchy breakup without fizz. The LT25's British amp models approximate the JCM800 midrange bark well. Roll tone knob to 7 to tame single-coil harshness.
